Wire Chasers Shine at the Guinness Celtic 5K

Thirteen Mercury Wire team members laced up on a cold March morning and took on the Guinness Celtic 5K

The Wire Chasers finished 15th overall with a team score of 833 and a combined chip time of 1:16:13. From Jordan Dean blazing across the line in 23:39 to Erostides Hernandez and Luisa Gil crossing together just over the one-hour mark — every single person earned their finish.

Every Finish Line Tells a Story

Jordan Dean set the pace for the team, finishing in the top 15 overall and leading the Wire Chasers home. Omar Cordova and John Meshna followed in close succession. Lisa Hoekstra and Katie Glynn ran stride for stride, crossing within a second of each other. Randall Wallen, Tim Cialone, and Santos Matos pushed hard through the middle miles. Richard Marczewski kept his pace steady, and Norma Buestan and Andrelis Ramirez — finishing together — showed that this team runs as a unit, from first to last.

More Than a Race

The Guinness Celtic 5K is part of the Worcester Triple Crown series, and the Wire Chasers have been a fixture in it for years. This isn’t a corporate wellness checkbox, it’s something our team actually chooses to do together, on a Sunday morning, because that’s who we are.

Fundamental #27 asks us to live a healthy lifestyle and support each other in making healthy choices. Fundamental #30 reminds us that we’re a family. Both were on full display on the streets of Worcester.
